The Concept

A trendy Digital game

DigitalTrends — or how to have fun together around the world of digital innovation.
After the briefing phase, each team is given a tablet. Then the hunt for visuals starts, with each poster representing one of the different themes of digital transformation. Once the visual is scanned using the tablet, the challenges are unlocked: Blockchain, Big Data, cybersecurity, social networks… all topics on which participants will be grilled, with lots of questions and multimedia challenges. Finally it’s time for a recap, during which the participants’ most striking photo/video works are shown — for all to enjoy!

The Pitch

Game Scenario

By tinkering with his PC, Justin has created a space-time rift that allows him to take you back in time. While travelling back to different times, your actual journey will last 1h30 in total – Justin’s AOL account will not permit longer.

90 minutes to journey “all around the world and beyond” to search on Justin’s PCs for information about subjects as varied as blockchain, big data and cloud computing.

90 minutes to help Justin Novation thwart the Machiavellian plans of the very, very nasty Braindead.

A playful quest combining teamwork, laughs and technological advances.

Briefing

Before the game starts, our Game Masters will explain how the tablet works, as well as the concept of the game.

All participants must be gathered in the same (non-virtual!) space. It is recommended that teams be set up in advance.

Game

At the hosting venue, several panels illustrating various themes belonging to digital transformation are hidden.

The goal for the teams: to look for these visuals and take up their various challenges. To unlock them, players will need to use the image recognition feature of the tablet.

Debriefing

The key moment of the DigitalTrends activity is the debriefing phase, gathering all participants. During the game, the teams have built creative materials (photos/videos) — it’s time to watch them together!

Participants “masterpieces” are projected and the final winners are unveiled!

We also provide a “serious” and more analytical debriefing upon request.

To start this part on artificial intelligence (and therefore you talk a bit about me, the tablet) I would like to introduce two (other) friends: Watson (IBM) and AlphaGo (Google). Both are computer programs capable of learning (based on large amounts of data) and making decisions.
In 2011, Watson beat humans at the Jeopardy TV game in which the host gives answers to which players must find the appropriate questions. Are you as good as Watson? Which of these questions do you think fits the “Go” answer?

Come on, let’s start gently this easy level on social media. I won’t challenge you by giving you a definition. You would take it badly.
